Anne Saint-Pierre is a NYC-based portrait and documentary photographer from Lyon, France. She photographs people in their environments, seeking to bring out character, point of view, emotional truth, style and atmosphere.
In collaboration with Accompany Capital, she is currently working on a body of portraits of small business owners who give New York City its life and vibrancy. Her documentary work with RIF Asylum Support on themes of place and belonging, has been published in L’Oeil de la Photographie, the Intercept and several social media outlets, and included in group shows and fund raisers at American University and Brooklyn Grange (2015-2019.)
Her in-progress photo essay, “Water," is an errand through time, starting as a pagan celebration of summer solstice, and evolving into a quest for responsibility as a street photographer in the age of AI data training. It has been included in group shows at Susan Eley Fine Arts (2019), Soho Photo/APA (2024) and Buunni Cafe Inwood (2025).
Anne Saint-Pierre was previously a moving image designer/director at NY studios such as Telezign/National, Lee Hunt Associates and Pittard Sullivan, and her own practice Design Asylum. Her award-winning work blending film, photography and typography eventually led her to become a full-time photographer.
